Happy Sabbath Tyler!
It has been an incredible month together, with a lot of exciting new developments to share. With the assistance of the Elders and our Church Board, we were able to craft a vision statement for our congregation!
"We aspire to be an inclusive, compassionate, and family oriented church—which prayerfully communes with Christ through the power of the Spirit and study with application of the Scriptures—ever demonstrating the love of God from the very heart of worship, through selflessly serving, teaching, and leading others to be and do the same."
The statement is intended to help explain to others who we are as a congregation (within the greater body of Christ) as well as what we do. For the next six months, we agreed to pray about decisions to be made, prior to evaluating the decisions in support of the vision before proceeding. In March of 2021, we will refine the statement as needed, with your help! COVID-19 may have slowed us down, but God is breathing new life into our congregation.
We would like to welcome Lael Christian Academy to the Family Life Center this fall! Those interested in Adventist Education here in Tyler now have options for k-12. For more information, please speak to Chrispin or Sharon Chifwepa.
There really is no substitute for Adventist Education, but now our partnership with Tyler Adventist School brings benefits to families who have homeschool or public school students. Every Wednesday morning at 8AM, the weekly Chapel services will now be live-streamed on the Tyler Adventist School and Tyler Adventist Church Facebook Pages. Those unable to join us live, can view the recorded service in the same locations anytime afterward.
We look forward to watching God accomplish more great things in Tyler. Please keep the Church in your prayers, as we continue to ask for protection of heath, praising God for blessing us with the same.
