The Next Chapter

Happy Sabbath Tyler!

July went by so quickly, didn't it? It has been a rough year. The Tuionetoa family has moved on to minister to a new church in San Antonio, Texas. While we will miss them, we appreciate their service to our Congregation. While we wish them success in their future endeavors, I want you to know that I look forward to the opportunity to support you—you are not alone! If there will be any further staff changes within our Congregation, I will be sure to let you know as the information becomes available.

We have a lot to be thankful for right now. Although COVID-19 has interrupted many of our services and ministries this year, we do have our doors open (Sabbath School weekly, 10:15–11:15 a.m., Worship Services at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.) and our Congregation is in good health. We should continue to pray and practice good hand hygiene in hopes of keeping it that way!

Some have been asking about various ministries and activities resuming at church. I want to encourage you first of all, by saying the initial steps are underway. The Church Board, Elders, and I are prioritizing the election of open church offices in our Congregation. In the weeks to follow, we will be prayerfully placing leaders so that we can function properly as a unified body. We are especially looking for a Sabbath School Director and School Board Chairperson. Those who are interested, please let our church office know, and names submitted will be considered at Church Board. Once we have the leaders we need in place, we can all work together on both the direction and the implementation plan, which I would ideally like to announce after the September Church Board meeting.

I know many of you are eager to return to normal (whatever the "new normal" looks like). I want you to know that I do too! I appreciate your patience and support as we navigate the COVID-19 situation, the election of open offices, and the plan for a brighter future in a safe and Spirit lead manner.
