The Tyler Seventh-day Adventist Church is a vibrant community that offers a wide range of opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth. Whether you're looking to connect with others, deepen your faith, or serve your community, our church has something for everyone. We have a variety of Ministries, from Bereavement & Prayer to Youth Ministry, each with their own unique focus and purpose. Joining a ministry is a great way to get involved, build relationships, and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

We believe that everyone has something to offer and we're committed to helping everyone find their place in our community. Youth and young adults

Children's Ministry

Misty Purkey and Jessica Anderson lead the Children's Ministry.
Goals: To love, encourage, and serve like Christ.
Mission Statement: To lead by example, as Christ did for us. To teach, love, encourage, inspire, and cultivate the love of Christ in every child that we encounter. We prepare children to KNOW God in his love and SHARE God in his love.
Things to Know: Children's Ministry offers Children's Church, Little Tots Training, Sabbath School for children of all ages, Vacation Bible School, and many other activities to encourage fellowship, outreach, and a relationship with their best friend, Jesus.

Adventurers

Angeles Hernandez-Perez leads the Adventurers ministry, which provides young people with opportunities for spiritual growth and leadership development. The ministry is responsible for organizing and overseeing the Adventurers program. If you're interested in joining the Adventurersministry, we encourage you to sign up today.

Pathfinders

Niki Lorenz leads the Pathfinders ministry which provides opportunities for outdoor adventures and leadership development for boys and girls 5th through 10th grades and Teen Leadership Training for 11th and 12th grades.
They help develop and encourage a saving relationship with Jesus, camping and survival skills, Church history, crafts, nature conservation, service to others, character development, self-discipline, ethics, and practical knowledge. Annually they attend numerous regional, statewide, and national events.  If you're interested in joining the Pathfinders ministry, we encourage you to sign up today.

Youth

Kaedi Strother leads the Youth Ministry, which provides opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for young people in the church. The ministry is responsible for organizing events and activities that foster fellowship and spiritual growth among young people in the church. Kianna Arante leads the Young Adult Ministry, which provides opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for young adults in the church. Prison Ministry

Tim Doyle leads the Prison Ministry, which provides spiritual support and guidance to individuals in prison. The ministry is responsible for organizing and overseeing the prison ministry program, including visits and activities for inmates. Community Service

Angela Hernandez leads the Community Service ministry, which organizes volunteer opportunities for the church to serve their local community. The ministry is responsible for organizing volunteer opportunities for the church to serve their local community and help others in need. Personal Ministry

Personal Ministry focuses on providing spiritual guidance and support to individual members of the congregation. This may include one-on-one Bible studies, personal counseling, and other forms of spiritual guidance. The ministry is led by Elder Geoffrey Ounda, but its efforts are not limited to just one person. The outreach aspect of the Personal Ministry is to help members of the congregation to grow in their faith by offering support and guidance. Through this ministry, members are encouraged to deepen their personal relationship with God and develop their spiritual gifts. The Personal Ministry provides an opportunity for individuals to grow in their faith and become more active in their spiritual lives.

Bereavement & Prayer

The Bereavement & Compassion Ministry and Prayer Ministry offers meaningful ways to provide support to those who have lost loved ones and offer prayer for the needs of the congregation. The ministry is responsible for providing support to those who have lost loved ones and offering prayer for the needs of the congregation. Sabbath School

Eme Lynn Carrera is the Sabbath School Superintendent of the church. She is responsible for overseeing the Sabbath School program and ensuring it provides opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for all members. The ministry is responsible for organizing and overseeing the Sabbath School program, including classes and activities for all ages. Music Ministry

Verlie Mae Snyder leads the Music Ministry, which enhances worship services through the use of music and song. They also bring us special musical events such as the Christmas Cantata,Youth Choir events, and the Children's Choir events.  The ministry serves everyone who wants to worship in song from individual members to full orchestras. We all know how music can draw us to the Lord in faith because of the beauty of the song and the truth of the lyrics. Social Committee

Israel and Jen Lucion lead the Social Committee, which organizes events and activities to foster fellowship among members of the congregation. The ministry is responsible for organizing events and activities that foster fellowship among members of the congregation. Women's Ministry

Helen Siko leads the Women's Ministry, which provides opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for women in the church. Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry is led by Lafane Battles Jr. Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ..."
The goal of the Men’s Ministry is to bring men into a closer love relationship with God; building Christ-centered relationships; and equipping men to be disciples in the home and community. Our target audience is from High School age and up. We meet once per month.

Hospitality

Kelly Clark leads the Hospitality ministry. The Hospitality Visitation Ministry is a subgroup of the Hospitality Ministry. The Team visits our sick and shut -in members and non-members on Sabbath afternoon and occasionally during the week. The team consists of just a few members due to Covid restrictions at the local hospitals. Our goal is to  spread the love of Christ to individuals who are unable to worship in person. During the visit, we listen to the individual’s spiritual and physical needs and channel those requests to the appropriate ministry.

Family Ministry

Mavreen and Errol Velayo lead Family Ministry, which provides opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth for families in the church. The ministry is responsible for organizing events and activities that foster fellowship and spiritual growth among families in the church. We encourage families to sign up today and consider joining this ministry.

Small Groups

"And every day in the Temple and in people’s homes they continued to teach and preach the Good News about Jesus the Messiah” (Acts 5:42 GNB)

“A small group is an intentional, face-to-face gathering of three to twelve people, on a regular time schedule with the common purpose of developing relationships, meeting felt needs of group members, growing spiritually, and laying plans and working together to lead others to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. The group is to help each to grow in their relationship with God, grow in their relationship with each other, and reach out to share what they have with others.” ~ GC Sabbath School and Personal Ministries

We encourage you to prayerfully consider joining one of the many ministries at the Tyler Seventh-day Adventist Church.
